See a lott of you guys wanna support your bands by buying their cds..
Their the ones that are living lives, and your helping mainly the record labels.. All those singers make streams of revenue and album sales isjuswt oneof them. They also get it from online sales, commericals, advertisements, everything.
And why do they need so much money if their truly not "sell outs". _________________

On one hand I agree with what you are saying, absolutley.
But where do we stop?
If no one bought their cds then the record companies wouldn't let them make anymore cds, thus no music. Why would a record label want to let a band put out an album if we all downloaded it?
I know there are plenty bands that haven't "sold out" and they have plenty of fans, make some money and it's good for them.
But some bands that are big now and have "sold out" many of us would probably never even have heard of them without the help of a friendly big ol' record label.
But also I'm no totally sure what point you are exactly trying to make?
You wouldn't want ALL the money from record sales to go to record label would you?
I still beleive in supporting a band and buying their cd, honestly if I ever made it big, I would still want my fans to buy the cd, if they didn't.. I wouldn't be making music.
So I suppose it's good how it is now, some people download shitless, others spend alot of money on the bands they love. I suppose it evens out somewhat, so I'm glad. _________________ Now I'm smoking cigarettes

I got something to say, I totally agree with you aswell!
But Cd's are not even the biggest revenue maker for some artists.
For instance Jessica Simpson with her latest music video for Public Affair included a bunch of Hewlett Packard ads.. THen tthe music video its self, thats where their making big money. _________________

Well I'm glad we see eye to eye on this.
And to that thing about Jessica Simpson, that disgusts me. _________________ Now I'm smoking cigarettes

July 26, 2006 -- Hewlett-Packard, hoping to reach the trendy youth market, paid for a starring role in a new Jessica Simpson music video that pushes product placement for the MTV audience.
H-P computers and other gadgets appear at least three times during the four-minute video for her song, "A Public Affair."
He eventually pulls out an H-P Ipaq handheld gadget and holds it up for them to see. When he turns it around to take a picture of the girls, he also flashes H-P's new hand-shaped logo on the back.

My god, those marketing whores.
This is one of the very good reasons why I don't participate in watching MuchMusic and MTV.
I really don't like how all these "pretty" people make all this money and they really couldn't give a shit about anyone or anything except making more money to buy there things that we all know they so desprately need.
And yes, I'm allowed to be spiteful, she's alot better off then I am and she doesn't even have a passion for music. It just makes me so mad! _________________ Now I'm smoking cigarettes
